Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and come to Durian Boat to experience the mysteries of nature.
Early in the morning, drive to the homeland of Musang King - Sungai Klau, Raub, Pahang. Along the way, the nature welcomes us with durian trees lining the roadside bearing fruit, and a subtle fragrance of durian in the air, reminding us that "Musang King Durian is waiting for you!"
Upon arriving at Durian Boat's durian processing factory, we get a deep understanding of the durian processing process and have the opportunity to try freshly made durian desserts.
Next, embark on a 4x4 journey to a local secret hideaway – a majestic waterfall concealed within the durian orchard. Along the rough and bumpy road, surrounded by lush greenery, listening to the sounds of nature, the mood becomes more delightful. Unveiling this hidden paradise, the crystal-clear sound of flowing water and the gentle cascade of water create a truly stunning scene that will undoubtedly leave you in awe!
Amidst a heap of laughter, a beautiful yet brief barbecue party comes to an end, with the backdrop of the waterfall adding vibrancy to the otherwise ordinary barbecue gathering.
Next, standing before a cultural heritage site, experience the hiding place from the Malayan Emergency era – Gua Kechil (The Lion Cave). This place holds numerous memories of wars, serving as a reminder to cherish the peace of our nation.
Finally, it's time for today's star to take the stage! [Musang King Feast]
The staff at Durian Boat meticulously introduces each variety of durian, from the milder D24 to the robust-flavored Musang King durian. Every bite is carefully savored to capture the unique taste of each durian!
The bliss of indulging in durians to your heart's content is a gift from Durian Boat!
After a full day of activities, we finally arrived at our accommodation to rest. Don't worry about having nothing to do after dinner – the entertainment facilities here are sure to satisfy! Karaoke rooms, pool tables, beer, and beverages to enjoy under the starry night sky.
Early the next morning, we visited a nostalgic tea house for an authentic local breakfast – coffee, toasted bread, and soft-boiled eggs, a daily essential for the locals. The tea house has minimal decor, offering only the memorable taste of tea and their must-try Kaya spread!
Fantastic breakfast! With energy-filled enthusiasm, we set off to a tofu factory that wafts the fragrance of soybeans! This place carries on the legacy and hard work of four generations, maintaining the original tofu-making process to preserve its soybean aroma. The tofu, made on the spot and sold fresh, has a crispy texture and is incredibly delicious!
Renowned as the best Hakka pastry by four generations, the Chop Yoon Thye Biscuit House is a must-visit. Similarly inheriting the traditions of four generations, the shop preserves the original flavors without any fancy decorations, maintaining the nostalgic taste of the past. The soft and sticky tea cakes, fluffy steamed cakes, and fresh pancakes are truly delightful!
Having experienced the two-day-one-night Musang King adventure in Raub, it truly stands out from previous visits to Raub. There's an added sense of warmth, with Durian Boat treating everyone more like friends, offering genuine hospitality!
