Before facing the challenges, let's fuel up with delicious food. Along the way, the scenic views are so captivating that upon reaching the destination - Durian Boat, the expansive durian processing factory leaves a profound impression!
The staff explains that visiting here is not casual; only those who have made advance reservations get the opportunity to delve into the entire process of durian processing before export. The exhibition hall showcases the operational procedures of durian processing, with staff explaining the details of each step.
Watching each durian being peeled and processed, was thinking about: how wonderful it would be to have those durian pulp pieces in my mouth!
Turning around, the table is filled with round and smooth durians! Various varieties, ranging in size, HURRY UP! Putting on gloves, we are ready to dig in! The staff explains each durian variety, suggesting that we start with the milder ones first, as the stronger-flavored durians can overshadow the taste of others.
Durian Boat's dedication is to allow everyone to savor the unique characteristics of each durian variety. Due to the natural growth, each durian has a different taste and texture, so everyone can truly appreciate the flavors!
Having eaten our fill and satisfied our thirst, let’s set off for the next destination!
Arrived at the historical relic left from the Malayan Emergency – Gua Kechil, a cave hidden within a durian orchard. The cave is filled with inscriptions from both the Malayan Emergency and the Japanese wartime era, preserved and intact to this day.
Entering the cave, listening to the stories of history, memories of the heroes sacrificed during the war come to mind. We feel deep respect and, at the same time, reflect on the peace we enjoy in the present world.
After lunch, we reached an excellent location filled with extreme activities, gearing up for a series of adventurous journeys!
The variety of extreme activities here is vast, with the top three recommended being off-road driving, archery, and paintball shooting. We hopped onto off-road vehicles, ready to conquer hills and valleys! The guide led us through flat terrains, embarking on steep and rugged mountain roads! Gripping the steering wheel tightly, we persevered until we reached the mountaintop, overlooking the magnificent scenery – truly worth it!
For those new to archery, be aware that the bow and arrow are heavier than imagined! The coach imparted some basic skills, and by focusing attention and precision, slowly mastering the feel to hit the bullseye, the satisfaction surged instantly!
Donning protective gear, rallying with teammates, preparing attack strategies, in a maze-like arena, climbing obstacles, dodging opponents' attacks – it's all about challenging reaction and speed! After an intense paintball shootout, cheers erupted for the victorious side!
A fulfilling day concluded, and after dinner, with a tired yet satisfied body and mind, we returned to the hotel to rest, eagerly awaiting the morning of the second day!
In the morning, having breakfast with a view of the lush green scenery outside, it truly feels leisurely! Observing a group of people fully equipped with hiking gear, looking tired but content, they enter the restaurant for breakfast. It turns out they woke up at 4 a.m. to gather for a sunrise hike. They hiked to the mountaintop in the darkness, eagerly anticipating the sunrise. They shared that witnessing the sunrise from the mountain is a unique experience – the sky unfolds, illuminating the earth in a spectacular moment. Clouds and mist surround below, creating an exhilarating atmosphere! Welcoming the first light of dawn, everything feels full of hope!
It's a must to explore the souvenir shops after breakfast and see what souvenirs can be brought back home for family and friends. Eventually, loaded with bags full of souvenirs, we return home with precious memories, concluding this adventurous journey!
